High ResolutionIt’s always somewhat startling to me when I see a gull here in the city. All the seagulls in my world are dropping crabs onto the asphalt parking lot at the beach back home, chattering as the sun comes up over the harbor, perching sassily on the tops of our telephone poles. Seagulls live on the Cape, not in the city. It takes me a minute or two to remember that I live four blocks from the East River, and ten miles from the Atlantic itself.
